Season Opener.

He's rimming with energy. With that hesitation move. He's slithering now. Roaring down the lane. Slices in from the near side. So shifty, so many gears. Getting dirty on the floor here. Takes it to the rim and makes it go in!

You're probably thinking that I'm starting my blog soft porn style, but they're actually real quotes.

From the NBA commentators.

Right?

There's plenty more where that came from, if you desire more.

Now I'm guessing there's not many girls out there who keep a record of memorable NBA quotes. What can I say? I'm a basketball fan.

To reiterate: I don't play basketball. I played basketball, back in the day, was actually pretty good, but my talent lies in more... expressive hobbies, like performing and dancing. But basketball has always been my favorite sport to watch. I'll shoot some hoops and scrimmage every now and then, but I definitely prefer watching tall muscular men smoothly handle a ball.

Growing up in a Laker home, I naturally became a Laker fan, until I moved to San Francisco. It was there that I really got enveloped in the contagious energy of Warrior fandom and my loyalty was tested.

So I'm a fan of both teams. That may be a no-no in sports, but I'm in love with both.

Anyhow, anyone who knows me is well aware that I'm a pretty expressive NBA commentator myself, and since today was the opening day of the 2017-18 NBA season, I was all decked for the occasion.

Especially since Golden State played against the Houston Rockets.

They lost, but it was a great game, especially during the very tight fourth quarter that had me glued to the screen and reacting rather loudly. My poor cat probably thought I was bonkers.

Who knows? Maybe I'll have a career in basketball commentating.

That would be a ball.
